A stranger reunited a woman with her late husband’s dog tag from World War II.
The dog tag was found by one of Daniel Glossenger’s neighbors in a box of old “junk” from a woman who got it from an antique store that was being thrown out.
Glossenger decided to do some research and he found the man that the dog tag belonged to passed away about 20 years ago. He found the address of family members and the next day, he went to the home to reunite the two.
Joseph’s wife, Dolores, felt honored to get the dog tag back.
“She said he was the youngest of eight brothers all in the service and that he served from 1945 to 1947, and that it was just so special to have it back,” Glossenger said.
