Burned woman's remains found in Imperial

They said the victim had a gold capped front tooth and a piercing on her right cheek.

IMPERIAL, Mo. – The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was activated after human remains were found in the 800 block of Sulphur Springs Road near a quarry Friday.

The victim hasn’t been identified but officials believe the individual was a black or Hispanic female between 5'4" and 5'6" with a small frame. They said the victim had a gold capped front tooth and a piercing on her right cheek. Police also said she could have been wearing green sweat pants, a green bath robe and a long-sleeved shirt.

Officials said the remains were badly burned.
