A Nebraska motorcyclist was killed in a Monday night crash that closed Interstate 64 near the Poplar Street Bridge, and Illinois State Police are looking for the driver of a semi-truck involved in the crash.
Curtis T. Hudiburgh — a 26-year-old Lincoln, Nebraska, man — was riding his Harley Davidson eastbound on I-64 at around 8 p.m. He tried to slow down for traffic but couldn't, and lost control of his motorcycle. He was hit and killed by the rear tires of a semi-truck.
Illinois State Police are looking for the driver of the semi-truck. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Becker at (618) 346-3631.
The investigation is ongoing.
