It has been a tough year for CBC star receive Kamryn Babb. Babb, who was the top rated player in the state, missed his entire senior season with a knee injury.
He missed out on playing in the state championship, but now he can focus on trying to win a national championship in college, as he announced on Tuesday he will play for Ohio State.
"It is way bigger than football," Babb said about his commitment, "what they are doing with that program is amazing. Just the vibe that me and my family got, it is a family atmosphere and they make you feel ike you are at home."
Babb was one of the most dominant juniors in the country in 2016, with over 700 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in seven games. He was recruited by all the big schools across the country, but when he injured his knee, he wondered if the schools still had interest.
Ohio State did.
"We called (Ohio State) and seeing how positive they were with me and seeing that they believed in me and wanted me 100 percent, nothing had changed, hearing that from them was uplifting to me."
Playing for a coach with the prestige of Urban Meyer was also attractive to Babb, He still thinks it is rather surreal it is going to happen.
"Always growing up and seeing him on ESPN, seeing him do the things he did with Tim Tebow, it is amazing to think I am going to be playing for this great man. It is amazing to be a part of that program."
