Jackson Rutledge is 6'8'' 240 pound pitcher for Summit, and he is the definition of unhittable on the mound.
"I love pitching, " the big right-handers said, "I am going to do everything to help my team that I can. I want to win."
He is winning, a lot. Rutledge is a perfect 5-0 and has a miniscule 0.88 earned run average. His fastball is electric, and is the reason Major League scouts are in attendance for every outing.
Rutledge, who is committed to Arkansas, is not the only reason the team is dominating the competition this season, the roster is loaded with talent. His co-ace, Connor Giles, is 6-0 with a 1.85 era. Coltyn Kessler is hitting .390 and is committed to Kentucky. Jaxon Passino is hitting .397 with three homers and will be attending Kansas State, and Blake Cisneros is hitting .394 and will play college ball at SEMO.
When asked how he wants to end the season, Rutledge had a simple but series answer.
"Rings, we want rings!"
