In maybe the offseason's biggest surprise, Bryan Koch stepped down as head coach at Francis Howell in February. Koch had built the Vikings in to one of the biggest powerhouses in the state, making three final four appearances and one state championship game in his tenure.

Howell hired former Westminster coach, Cory Snyder, to fill the void. Snyder is no stranger to success either, he led Westminster to a 13-1 record last season and a trip to the state semifinals.

Snyder understands the tradition at Francis Howell, and is not looking to come in and change the program, but add to it and not have them play in a state title game, but win it.
