A Mizzou football player has been suspended indefinitely after being arrested Wednesday.
"We are aware of the situation, and are addressing it internally. Nate is suspended indefinitely," The University said in a statement.
Nate Howard was arrested in Columbia. As of Thursday morning, he is still in custody at Boone County jail.
According to Boone County records, Howard faces charges on possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and no vehicle registration.
Howard, 20, is entering his junior year and has been a part of the defensive line rotation for the last two years.
He’s from St. Louis and went to Ladue Horton Watkins High School.
