Max Scherzer is a St. Louis native, former Mizzou Tiger and one of the best starting pitchers in Major League Baseball.

In his impressive career, he has piled up 125 career wins, two 20-win seasons, three 250-plus strikeout seasons, one Cy Young award and two no hitters.

Apparently, despite all of his career achievements, he leaves dirty clothes around the house just like everyone else. On Wednesday, his wife was cleaning up around the house, and a part of history ended up in the trash.

His wife Erica appears to be an optimist, though.

Maybe Erica was trying to make a statement with the jersey. After all, it has been more than a year since he threw that no hitter.
