The Philly bar that helped launch the 'Gloria' phenomenon sends 33 people to the Blues Parade

They flew in Friday and spending a weekend in St. Louis.

ST. LOUIS — Naturally, St. Louis is the epicenter of the Blues universe, but if there's an honorable mention, it's quickly becoming South Philly.

In case you're not familiar, back in January, Alexander Steen, Joel Edmundson, Robert Bortuzzo, Jaden Schwartz and Robby Fabbri visited the bar while playing the Flyers. Gloria was played multiple times, and the team quickly adopted the power-80s rock ballad as the Blues' victory song.

"They were drinking out of a cup and Gloria kept getting played on the radio and our DJ kept spinning and spinning,"clubhouse member Al Greenman said.

The rest, as they say, is history.

"They picked it up and went on an eleven game winning streak," he said.

The Jacks NYB has since morphed into a St. Louis Blues bar, adjusting its members only policy to allow in Blues fans and posting social media updates of wild crowds gathered during the NHL Playoffs. St. Louisans even traveled to club to watch game seven as the Blues won the Stanley Cup Finals against the Boston Bruins.

"It was electric. We had 400 plus fans," clubhouse member Joe Lang said.

The bar shows their full support of the Blues on their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts and many St. Louis fans have started following them. They even have a Blues flag hanging outside of the bar.

5 On Your Side's Chris Davis confirmed with the bar, they sent 33 members to the Championship Parade.

"We're just appreciative, humbled and enjoying the experience," Greenman said.

They flew in Friday and spending a weekend in STL.
