Thursday night was an eventful night at Busch Stadium for Cardinal outfielders. Stephen Piscotty injured a hamstring running out a ground ball to first and Dexter Fowler sprained his shoulder diving for a ball in the outfield.

Piscotty will not travel to Atlanta with the team tonight, he will stay in St. Louis and get examined here.

After the game. Mike Matheny confirmed that Tommy Pham would be joining the team. Following the injuries, Pham was pulled from his game with the Memphis Redbirds to make the trip to St. Louis.

It is unclear if one, or both, of the players injured on Thursday will go on the disabled list, or the move will be one of the Cards' 13 pitchers will be optioned to Memphis to make room for Pham.

Pham is off to a great start with the Cardinals' Triple-A affiliate. He is hitting .289 with four home runs in 24 games.
