Flooding in Brentwood

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A Ladue police cruiser was stranded on a street near the intersection of Warson and Clayton roads, early Tuesday morning.

The officer's vehicle was one of several cars submerged in flash flood waters during torrential, historic rain and flash flooding in St. Louis County.

Ladue Police worked to evacuate residents on the south side of Foxboro subdivision, off of Warson Road. Assistant chief Jeff Johnson said it was a proactive evacuation after officers saw how quickly water was rising on area roads.

Further east, in Brentwood, Brentwood Boulevard south of Manchester Road was completely submerged between Russell and Marshall roads. The road was covered by three or four feet of water for hours as Deer Creek flooded its banks.
