St. Louis (KSDK) - We now have details about how you can participate in a parade to honor Iraq war veterans in St. Louis.
We first told you last week about a grassroots effort on Facebook to welcome veterans back home with a downtown parade on January 28th.
The group's initial goal was to raise $25,000. The group surpassed that goal with the help of corporate sponsors and "The Mission Continues."
Organizers are now in search of 100 floats, 25 entertainment groups, and volunteers.
"The city is motivating in real time on Facebook. Problems that take months to solve are being solved interactively in minutes from everyone in the mayor's office to volunteers to housewives. It's amazing. It's amazing. It's really made us believe that that impossible things was nonsense," said Craig Schneider, the parade organizer.
