'Blazing Saddles', 'Willy Wonka' to play at local theaters

He was known for his role in 'Young Frankenstein' and 'Blazing Saddles' as well as playing Willy Wonka.

A few days after the death of comedy icon Gene Wilder, local theaters will be screening some of his most memorable roles.

AMC Theaters nationwide — including AMC West Olive 16 in Creve Coeur — will be showing "Blazing Saddles" and "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be $5. You can find show times and order tickets on the AMC website

"Willy Wonka" will be screened at the Galleria at 12:15 p.m. every day for one week, starting Friday. For more information, click here.

The Regal St. Louis Stadium 18 at the St. Louis Mills will also be having two showings of "Willy Wonka" on Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m.
