The Art of Craft, The Gallery at RAC, Friday, Apr. 18, 5:30pm - 7:30pm

The Regional Arts Commission presents six artists with outstanding work in metals, ceramic, and fibers with its exhibition The Art of Craft, One Definition. From sterling silver grasshoppers to clay forms that suggest narratives of the sea, these artworks demonstrate "remarkable technical skill" and celebrate craft beyond its outdated designation as having utilitarian purpose.

Art St. Louis: Silence and Noise Opening Reception, Friday, Apr. 19, 6:00pm - 9:00pm

This exhibit will feature the paintings, photography, printmaking, woodwork, mixed media, glass, and drawing, of 49 St. Louis Regional artists. These works reflect the push/pull of noise or silence. This media juried exhibit examines how silence and noise work against, as well alongside each other.

Record Store Day, St. Louis Area Record Stores, Saturday, Apr. 19, All Day

Local record stores such as Apop, Euclid Records and Vintage Vinyl will be celebrating this annual holiday with in-store performances and limited, record store day only releases. Euclid Records will be hosting local favorites such as The Bottle Rockets and Sleepy Kitty, along with dozens of other bands at record stores throughout the city-and country!

Casey Miller: Advance Pattern, Hoffman Lachance Contemporary, Friday, Apr. 18, 6:00 - 10:00

This solo show from Casey Miller will feature bold colors, wistful images and unique backgrounds. The opening reception will include snacks, cocktails and beer from Boulevard.

Hot Rods to Teslas, Third Degree Glass, Friday, Apr. 18 6:00pm

Third Degree Glass offers up its Third Friday selection for April featuring video art of classic cars and hot rods, a demonstration of hot rod pinstriping, cocktails and shopping. A Tesla S will be on display offering an education on electric and converted vehicles, as well as plenty of classic cars on the Third Degree Glass lot to admire.

Saint Louis Fashion Week, The Galleria, Saks Fifth Avenue, Union Station, Wednesday-Friday, Apr. 23-25

Saint Louis Fashion Week will be in full effect from Wednesday, April 23-Friday, April 25. Comprised of 3 shows featuring an impressive array of designers. Kicking off Wednesday, the Saint Louis Galleria will be hosting a runway show featuring looks from their top stores, with an intention to inspire you to shop, ensuring your closet is stocked for all the Saint Louis Fashion Week Shows. Thursday, Saks Fifth Avenue will welcome Rebecca Minkoff, a major authority in womenswear and consistent top designer at New York Fashion Week. Friday will include a runway fashion presenting the designs of Viktor Luna, Harbison, Novis, Skif, and many others.
