A Celebration of St. Louis in Photographs

It's been called the Carnegie Hall of the midwest. A place where greats of every genre have graced the stage, but upstairs in The Sheldon Art Galleries, St. Louis is the star.

"This was to celebrate the 250th anniversary of St. Louis's birth or founding," explains Olivia Lahs-Gonzales, director of The Sheldon Art Galleries .

It's two separate exhibits, one that takes visitors back in time, the other shows our city today through the eyes of it's citizens.

"We asked people to send in photos that really talk about their communities, the people in the communities, the architecture, events," Lahs-Gonzales adds.

You'll see 100 framed photographs of places you've been and others you may not know existed. An exhibit that will be on display through August 23rd.
