SAVORY GRITS A LA BISHOPS POST

Bacon

Diced

Onion

Diced

1

each

Jalapeno

Diced

1 1/2

cups

Quick Grits

3

cups

Water

1

cup

Heavy Whipping Cream

8

oz.

Cheddar Cheese

shredded

Cook bacon until rendered on medium heat.

Add onions and jalapenos and sauté.

Add grits, toss briefly to coat, then add water and cream.

Cook for 5-10 minutes until done.

Remove from heat, check seasonings, add salt if necessary.

Add cheese and mix well.
