St. Louis native set to host national entertainment show

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – One of St. Louis' own is moving from the computer screen to the TV screen.

Former NewsChannel 5 production assistant Alex Hudgens dazzled on the red carpet last fallwhile interviewing the stars, and now she will host "BlackTree on TV" as a part of the newly launched Soul of the South Network, according to PR Newswire.

The show bloomed from an urban YouTube channel to a daily network TV program.

The 30-minute series will focus on Hollywood and entertainment news and take viewers on the red carpet, behind the scenes and interviewing some of the hottest actors in Tinsel Town.

Soul of the South Network is currently not available in the St. Louis area, but will be coming soon, according to the company's website.

Until then, stay tuned with the daily show on BlackTree TV's Youtube channel and website.
