2008 Summer Schedule

JULY 7 - 13

I Could Have Danced All Night * The Rain In Spain * Wouldn't It Be Loverly?

When Henry Higgins plucks a Cockney flower girl from the grimy streets of London and teaches her how to "walk and to talk like a regular lady," little does he know that there are a few lessons in store for the teacher as well. MY FAIR LADY features a smashing Lerner and Loewe score, and the result is a masterpiece of musical romance. Bloomin' Loverly!

JULY 14 - 20

America's oldest and largest outdoor musical theatre celebrates 90 sensational summers in Forest Park with one extravagant showcase, highlighting the best of the best! This Muny retro spectacular will take the audience on a musical journey from grand opera and operettas to rock musicals. Relive old memories and create new ones, when you meet us at The Muny, for our celebrated 90th season!

JULY 21 - 27

Sun And Moon * Last Night Of The World * Why God Why?

Boy meets girl and East meets West during the 1975 American evacuation from Vietnam. The innocent Kim falls gloriously in love with an American GI while the war rages around them. MISS SAIGON is one of the most successful musicals in the world, seen by over 33 million people in over 25 countries in 12 different languages. The unrestrained passion and unrelenting tenderness of MISS SAIGON make it a classic love story of our time.

JULY 28 - AUGUST 3

The GERSHWIN Musical
'S Wonderful * Nice Work If You Can Get It * Strike Up The Band

A tap-dancing, barn-storming pilot and a beautiful, singing swimming star meet, fall in love and find true happiness in the fun and frothy MY ONE AND ONLY. This is the musical with planeloads of comedy, dazzling dancing, and some of the Gershwin brothers' very best tunes. As dapper and debonair as a Fred Astaire dance, it's MY ONE AND ONLY, and it's only at The Muny!

AUGUST 4 - 10

Sunrise, Sunset * If I Were A Rich Man * Tradition

Mazel Tov! The fiddler is back on the roof, and The Muny proudly presents this much-loved celebration of life. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF follows Tevye and his family as they grapple to balance tradition with inevitable change. Laden with both happiness and tears, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has earned its place as one of the glowing achievements of musical theatre.
