Blake Shelton steals Tess Boyer on 'The Voice'

LOS ANGELES - Former Rams cheerleader Tess Boyer's performance of "Piece of My Heart" didn't impress Usher enough for him to keep her over Bria Kelly, but it did impress Blake Shelton, who stole her for his team.

Boyer initially impressed Usher during the blind auditions with her cover of "Wings" by Little Mix. We didn't see much of her performance, but Usher did say he heard something in her voice that indicated there are many different directions they could take.

Tess teaches at Krupinski Academy of Dance in Chesterfield. Before that, she was a Rams cheerleader.

She'll join Festus native Patrick Thomson in the next round. Adam Levine didn't choose him, but Shakira stole him.

Another local act, the Brothers Walker, lost the battle rounds to Morgan Wallen last Tuesday.
