Cedric names health pavilion after his mom

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - St. Louis native and comedian Cedric "the Entertainer" is giving back to the community.

Friday morning he announced a partnership with SSM St. Mary's Health Center to establish a women's pavilion that will carry his mother's name.

"It's not one of these things where I put my name on it and throw it out there. I gave great care. It will be successful, and not just for my mother and her care here, but I want to extend that to the community," said Cedric.

The Rosetta Boyce Kyles Women's Pavillion will be dedicated to the health and well-being of all women. Cedric and his family are planning a star-studded benefit show next year to raise money for it.
