Dad battling ALS walks daughter down aisle

Last weekend, a very determined father battling a serious illness walked his daughter down the aisle.

Augie Nieto, 56, was diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease, 10 years ago, Bridal Guide reports. Over the years he lost his ability to walk and use his arms. After he had a tracheotomy, he also lost his ability to speak.

But when his 25-year-old daughter Lindsay set her wedding date for July 5, 2014, he was determined to walk her down the aisle. And with the help of a TRAM device, his dream came true.
