Fans camp out for glimpse of royals in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (CNN) – Fans young and old camped outside of Guy Pelly and Lizzy Wilson's wedding at the Hunt and Polo Club, straining to see their royal guests.

Memphian Nicholas Pegues has been following the royal family extensively for the last three years. He was thrilled to hear Prince Harry, Prince William and other royals like Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were coming.

He says he even writes to the palace and occasionally gets responses.

"I'm always a penpal to the Queen, and I wrote her about Princess Beatrice possibly coming to visit Victorian Village," he said.

Wedding guests arrived at the front entrance and a children's choir could be heard singing at the ceremony. Wreg is told Prince William and Prince Harry were brought in a different way, avoiding the army of cameras awaiting their arrival.

But many fans still held out hope, praying for a more public appearance like their arrival at Rendezvous Thursday.

Royal fans all had those cell phones ready, trying to snap a picture of the princes as they pulled up to the Hunt and Polo Club. Media is here from all across the world – everyone is just hoping to get one look at the royalty in Memphis.
