Former 'Voice' contestant returns home for local show

ST. LOUIS - We've heard through social media that three St. Louis area musicians auditioned for the newest season of "The Voice." Of course, it's a process Chesterfield native Caroline Glaser knows all too well.

"I know exactly how they're feeling it's crazy and I know all the little behind the scenes things so it's funny to watch," Glaser said.

It was this time last year that the Marquette High School grad got two chairs to turn. And although she didn't win the title of "The Voice," she's been very busy following her dream.

"I just got off this tour with Kris Allen. It was just this month run, and before that I was with Straight No Chaser for three months, we did, I think the total was 67 shows. We were all over the place it was amazing," Glaser explained.

This Thursday she's coming back to her hometown to play a show at the Old Rock House.

"There's going to be a lot of originals I just released this EP. It's only three songs, but I've been writing like non-stop so I'm so excited to show them new stuff that's not available yet, but I'm getting back in the studio in march so it should be available very soon," Glaser said.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. Tickets cost $10.
