Gateway Motorsports Park: Since you can't see Miley, drag race instead

MADISON, Ill. (KSDK) – Attention: Did you spend copious amounts of money on a ticket and then clear your schedule in anticipation for tonight's Miley Cyrus concert, only to be disappointed when she cancelled it due to illness?

Gateway Motorsports Park has a solution: since you can't watch the singer behind hits like "Wrecking Ball" and "Best of Both Worlds" perform at the Scottrade Center, you can cross the Mississippi River and drag race (or just watch people drag race)!

The track is allowing Miley Cyrus ticket holders to get in to Wide-Open Wednesday for free! After all, if there's one thing that screams "Miley Cyrus Fan," it's going to a speedway and watching fast cars.

QUIZ: Which Miley are you?

Fear not, if you were planning on eating at the Miley Cyrus concert: according to the news release, the event includes "food and beverage specials."

Wide-Open Wednesdays give car enthusiasts the chance to test the limits of their cars on Gateway's NHRA sanctioned drag strip. There's also a Battle of the Bikes Showdown which pits St. Louis' fastest motorcycles against each other.

Entry fees are $30 to race and $10 for spectators (so, pretty much, Miley fans save $10).

If you plan on racing, remember that all cars are required to pass a basic NHRA safety inspection.
