Ozzie Smith hosts benefit concert

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith brought some performers to St. Louis Thursday night.

Ozzie's son and former American Idol contestant, Nikko Smith, took the stage at the Peabody Opera House for the second annual Ozzie and Friends concert, benefitting PGA Reach. The program introduces inner-city kids to the game of golf.

"It teaches you all the ethics it teaches you citizenship. It teaches you responsibility and the honesty that goes with golf is very, very important to the young people," said Ozzie Smith.

Country music star Vince Gill was the night's headliner. Comedian Kathleen Madigan also entertained the crowd.
