A Place to Call Home Jasmine & Johnetta

16-year-old Jasmine and 14-year-old Johnetta spent the day channeling their creative sides at YUCANDU Art Studio in Webster Groves. They painted keepsake boxes for their rooms with help from YUCANDU artist Lauren.

The bright-eyed and lively pair have many other interests besides painting. One day, Johnetta wants to be a moviestar, and Jasmine wants to be a surgeon. They also love playing sports, listening to the radio and going to the movies together.

Jasmine and Johnetta have been best friends since they can remember and are looking for their very own forever family.

"Family I think is important for everyone to have that place at the end of the night to go home and feel loved and supported, and everyone deserves that and those girls are worthy of it," Lauren said. "And they were excited about being here and being with new people. So I think that they deserve the best just like everyone else does."

These sisters also have one other wish. Jasmine and Johnetta would like to go to Six Flags.

If you would like more information about granting their wish or becoming part of their lives, please call Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition at 1-800-FOSTER3.

A special thank you to YUCANDU Art Studios and Lauren for giving Jasmine and Johnetta an afternoon they will never forget! For more information about YUCANDU Art Studio, please visit http://www.yucandu.com/.
