Our top dog friendly places in STL

If your family includes a four-legged friend and you want to take them along - you're in luck! Here are our top five dog friendly places in St. Louis.

ST. LOUIS - Summer is upon us, which means lots of outdoor fun with friends and family.

If your family includes a furry friend and you want to take them along, you're in luck! St. Louis is very dog friendly.

So, we sent Allie Corey and her dog Diesel to sniff out some of the best spots to bark.

To start the day, they went to Forest Park, for a little exercise and tranquility. There are plenty of places to let your dog run and burn off some energy.

One of the best parts about Forest Park is The Boathouse. It’s dog friendly and you can take your pup for a peaceful paddle boat cruise. Just watch out for the ducks if your dog likes them. Diesel almost took a dive in the water.

Molly’s in Soulard is a great spot to grab a bite to eat with your dog. The restaurant has a great patio that caters to pooches. The waitress spoiled diesel with a bacon treat, ice water, and his own menu with ap-paw-tizers.

They finished their day at Ices Plain and Fancy in St. Louis' Shaw neighborhood. Diesel went to town on his doggy ice cream. It’s a blend of anchovies, sweet potatoes, and peanut butter. The best part, 50 percent of proceeds benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

There are so many great places that are dog friendly in our area. A few others include Castlewood Park in Ballwin and The Loading Dock in Grafton, Mo.
