Documentary aims to bust myths about Rottweilers

Anguie Ruiz is a filmmaker and actress who directed "Black Beauty Breed," a documentary that premieres locally next Tuesday.

You know so many of us are dog lovers here at NewsChannel Five. That's why we had to learn more when we heard about a new documentary on dogs.

Not just any dogs, but this documentary is about Rottweilers.

It's called "Black Beauty Breed," and it's billed as a loving, eye-opening look at the Rottweiler.

Angie Ruiz is a filmmaker and actress. She joined us for an interview on First at Four.

She's also the director of the film that premieres locally next Tuesday night, April 21, at 8 p.m. at the Purina Even Center, 200 Checkerboard Drive, in Gray Summit, Missouri.

Profits go to the Rottweiler Health Foundation.

Angie brought along Ava, a seven-year-old Rottweiler, who is a three-time herding champ owned by breeder Tracy Parciak.
