Photo exhibit draws attention to homeless vets

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – NewsChannel 5 got a sneak peek at a new photo exhibit featuring homeless veterans.

The exhibit "I Was a Soldier" opens Tuesday at the Missouri History Museum and includes photos taken in St. Louis and around the country.

Right now, there are between 500 and 1,000 homeless veterans in the St. Louis area. The goal of the exhibit is to draw attention to the problem.

The exhibit runs through Jan. 20.
