When Andrew Arizpe created the website www.schooltube.com he was a college grad with a communications degree living at home again. He even made a video poking fun at himself. "At the beginning, it just started out so I could have a job and save some money and get out of my dad's basement," said Arizpe. 24-year-old Arizpe got out of his dad's basement and into the world of video sharing websites. "My dad came to me with the idea of a video website for kids." But stiff competition came in the form of two little words. "Youtube was becoming a household name at that point and a lot of other video sharing websites, so we said how do we make it different and that was through the safety aspect." A safe video sharing website for students to use in schools was born. The 40,000 videos on the site have all been viewed by teachers across the country, or SchoolTube staff, and then either approved or denied. The site is now at schools around the country and in all English speaking countries.
