Holiday Tips and Trends

The holidays are the perfect time to have fun with make up, using shimmery powders and creamy blushes to bring out that festive holiday cheer in us all! The following are three different approaches to holiday make up from "daring" for all those bombshells out there to "fun" make up for those of us less adventurous types.
#1 Rule: Paula Dorf ALWAYS does the eyes first. The eyes are the focus of the face, the first feature people notice when you walk into the room. It is also easier to clean up lose powder from eye shadow. *Paula Dorf Eye Primer is a must have for every season.*
1. Use a deep matte or glimmer shadow with Paula Dorf Transformer®, a liquid that turns eye shadow into liquid liner. Using the Eye Transformer® Brush (so unique it's patented) press gently along the upper inside root of lash line for a defined eye.
· Apply a shimmery cream highlighter like Paula Dorf's Jet Set Glo or Just Glo, all over face, collar bones, and shoulders.
· Dust a translucent shimmery powder like Paula Dorf's No Color Glimmer powder all over face/chest to set for a long lasting "shine-control."
· Apply Paula Dorf's No Color Glimmer Powder all over face for long lasting "shine-control."
2. For a lightweight smoky eye use a gray shimmer like Paula Dorf Day Dream or La De Da, a purple iridescent shimmer.
· Start from the outer corner of the eye using the Paula Dorf Smokie Lid Brush, with a circling motion move across lash line.
· To brighten eyes, apply a pinky peach pencil, like Enhancer baby eyes? to entire lower inside rim.
· Paula Dorf's lip colors/glosses, Casino, Botticelli, and Chance, are the perfect shades to compliment a smoky eye.
3. Use a highlighter under the eye, like Paula Dorf's Eye Lite? to diffuse light and eliminate
dark circles.
· Apply a multi-purpose cream cheek to lips cheeks and eyes in this holiday's hot colors like bronze or red such as Aria or Candy Apple. For a healthy glow that lasts through out the day, follow cheek cream with a sweep of powder blush such as Passion or Sweet Cheeks; this will lock in the color.
· To maximize lashes use an eyelash curler close to the lash line and apply mascara using the Paula Dorf Mascara Fan Brush to get from root to tip creating length and fullness without clumps.
· To remove unwanted shine, press a deluxe powder puff over the face throughout the evening.
