Troy, MO (KSDK) - A head-on collision in Lincoln County Saturday evening has claimed the life of a Troy, Missouri man.

70 year old Thomas Dames was southbound on Route-H north of Troy around 6:00 p.m. Saturday when a northbound vehicle tried to avoid another car, cross the centerline of the highway and slammed into Dames pick-up truck.

Dames truck then travelled off the pavement and overturned into a ditch alongside the highway.

Troopers with the Missouri Highway Patrol say Dames died while en-route to a St. Louis hospital via air ambulance.

A passenger in Dames car; Mary Dames, 65 of Troy suffered moderate injuries in the crash.  The driver of the other car involved; Tamra Williams, 51 of Lake St. Louis had minor injuries in the crash.
