St. Louis goes Hollywood for 'Marshall the Miracle Dog'

CLAYTON, Mo. (KSDK) – Nearly 2,000 people hope to land a part in a local movie.

They packed Clayton High School's auditorium Sunday for a casting call. The movie is about Marshall the miracle dog, who was rescued from a dog hoarder and nursed back to health in 2010.

His owner, Cynthia Willingbrock, wrote a book about him, and now that the book is being turned into a movie. The casting director says this will be a big, Hollywood production.

About 75 percent of the actors in the movie will be local, but Sunday was the one and only casting call.
