Students host prom for senior citizens

CEDAR HILL, Mo. (KSDK) – Students at Northwest High School celebrated Senior Prom on Saturday night…literally.

Senior citizens came to the school to cut the rug on the dance floor for a prom night entirely for them. It was sponsored by Northwest's student council, which thought it was a way to give back to older adults in the community.

"I think it's just awesome," Bille Ann Mayes-Cain said. "They've worked so hard for us senior citizens. And I know that god will bless them."

On top on dancing, seniors were also treated to dinner and live entertainment.

The theme was "A Night at Gatsby's."
