Sylte says goodbye to KSDK

ST. LOUIS – Though you probably don't know her personally, you might recognize her name.

Allison "Salty" Sylte, one of's esteemed digital producers, is heading back to her home state of Colorado after accepting a position at KSDK sister station KUSA.

She spent only a year with us at KSDK, but she taught us many things, was always willing to lend a hand, and was constantly bringing interesting ideas to the table, including starting a popular weekly series known as #5Events, and blogging about her hiking adventures. She also wrote a moving commentary about how Taco Bell trends each day on social media in St. Louis.

Ali is one of the funniest people we know (follow @allisonsylte on Twitter if you don't believe me) and was even thoughtful enough to leave us with a wonderful parting gift.

We will really miss our friend, but as Ali said recently, "We're just gonna be separated by a little thing I like to call Kansas."

Good luck in your new role, Salty. May the odds be ever in your favor.
