Salvation Army searching for bell ringers

Salvation Army needs help covering thousands of hours ringing bells through the holiday season.

The Salvation Army is searching for volunteers to ring bells during its red kettle campaign.

Red kettle locations in Missouri and Illinois include: Alton Square Mall, Bass Pro, Big Lots, Buckeit, Dierbergs, Dillards, Eckerts County Store, Five Below, Fox Theatre, Gordmans, Hobby Lobby, JC Penney, Kiener Plaza, Kmart, Macys, Menards, Main Street Books, Old Towne Donuts, Rural King, St. Clair Square, Sears, Sam’s Club, Schnucks, Scott Trade Center, Shop N’ Save, Tom’s Grocery, TruBuy, Walgreens, Walmart and World Market.

The Salvation Army says volunteers of all ages are welcome, and the organization is looking to fill several thousand hours of bell ringing until December 23.

Money raised during the Tree of Lights campaign is used locally to fund holiday meals, gifts and programs for those in need.
