St. Louis (KSDK) - If you still need to finish your holiday shopping, you may want to wait until Friday.

December 16 is Free Shipping Day for more than 2,000 retailers. Besides Black Friday or Cyber Monday, it is the third biggest shopping day of the year.

The retailers are waiving shipping fees and guaranteeing the goods will make it to your doorstep by Christmas Eve.  A complete list of participants is on the Free Shipping website.

If you plan to purchase gifts from RadioShack and Walmart, you have until December 16 to purchase those gifts and have them arrive by December 24th using standard shipping.  December 19th is the key date for Apple and Amazon.  December 20th is the deadline for Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Target and Toys "R" Us.

If you still need to ship gifts you have some time, but need to act quickly if you want them to arrive at their destination by Christmas and still pay the standard rates.

December 15 is the last day to ship using the U.S. Postal Service.

If you are shipping using FedEx Ground you have until December 16, but you can ship overnight up until December 23.

The deadline for standard shipping for UPS has already passed, but you can get it there up until December 22 by using next day air.
