Standard and Poor threatens to cut India's rating

New Delhi (CNN) -- Some major news out of a major emerging market... India.

As one of the BRICS, it was seen as a driver to help get the global economy back on track.

But now, it's at risk of losing its investment grade -- making it the first BRIC nation that could lose that status.

Standard and Poor's warns it could downgrade India's credit score from Triple B minus to Junk.

The agency says slowing GDP growth and political roadblocks are threatening the country's rating.
