BBB warns of online car schemes

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The Better Business Bureau of St. Louis is warning St. Louis area residents of possible online car-selling schemes.

According to the BBB website, a single mother of twins lost close to $5,000 from someone posting a Craigslist ad for a 2005 Nissan Armada. The mom never received the car and has lost a great deal of money.

BBB president and CEO Michelle Corey joined NewsChannel 5 at noon to give consumers some tips and warnings about buying expensive items through websites such as Craigslist.
