Yahoo CEO apologizes to employees for lying on resume

(CNN) -- Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson is apologizing to the company's employees.

He's accused of lying on his resume.

Thompson sent a memo to employees saying he regrets how the issue has affected the company and that he takes full responsibility.

In the memo, he doesn't explain why he lied.

He also does not say whether he has plans to step down.

Last week, a Yahoo investor revealed Thompson doesn't have bachelor's degree in computer science as he claimed.

He has degrees in business administration and accounting.
Yahoo's board is investigating.
