15-year-old hit by car in front of St. Charles Co. gas station

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KSDK) - A 15-year-old boy was rushed to the emergency room Wednesday night after he was struck by a vehicle in front of a gas station.

It happened just before 10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Zumbehl Road -- near First Capitol.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur with a head injury and is expected to make a full recovery.

According to City of St. Charles Officer Erik Lawrenz, preliminary evidence shows the teen ran in front of the car.

The 60-year-old driver stayed on scene and is not facing any charges.
