KSDK -- A man set to stand trial for killing another man in an argument about proceeds from their scrap metal sale has pleaded guilty to reduced charges and was ordered to spend 25 years in state prison.
Oscar Walton, Jr., 67, of Moscow Mills, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He was originally charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Michael Summers, of Silex, in December 2005.
Investigators said the two men got into an argument about $83.00, so Walton went into his home and got a shotgun and shot Summers.
Summers died at an area hospital.
