KSDK -- The St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney's Office has charged a 17-year-old Overland boy for a double shooting that resulted in a St. Louis man's death.
According to Officer Rick Eckhard, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department, Brandon Davis was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, attempting first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, and four counts of armed criminal action.
County police detectives were called to the 10500 block of Emerald Ridge Monday around 9 p.m. to investigate a homicide and assault. Police believe Davis broke into the home of 31-year-old Duane Woodson and shot him. He died at the scene.
Detectives have yet to determine the exact relationship between Davis and Woodson.
A woman in her 20s was inside the home with Woodson and was allegedly shot by Davis as she fled the home, Eckhard said. She was taken to the a nearby hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Davis was arrested at his home Tuesday afternoon.
