Mehlville, MO (KSDK) -- Mehlville School District Superintendent Terry Noble announced his resignation Wednesday at a district board of education meeting. One day later, the board had found his successor.
Dr. Eric Knost, the Mehlville School District Deputy Superintendent, will assume full superintendent duties on July 1, 2011.
Knost was born and raised in South St. Louis County. He has 23 years of experience in the education field. He joined the district in July 2002 as principal of Oakville High School. He was named Mehlville School District's North Area Superintendent in July 2005, and eventually became Deputy Superintendent in November 2006.
Knost will earn an annual salary of $185,000 during his three-year contract.
