St. Louis (KSDK) - A Blizzard Warning for the St. Louis area and points north and west remains in effect until noon Wednesday but snow will be tapering off for most areas overnight.

Light to moderate snow will continue in St. Louis and north overnight and another 1" to 3" is possible and, as northwest winds increase to 20-30mph with gusts to 35mph, considerable blowing and drifting will make travel very difficult.

Areas north of St. Louis have picked up between 10" to 17" and main roadways will struggle to remain open...secondary roads will be even more treacherous.

Wednesday strong winds will continue until late afternoon with highs only in the teens.  Wednesday night will every cold with lows from -4 to -10 likely through most places.
