St. Louis (KSDK) -- A 33 year old St. Louis woman is dead after a hit and run on North Grand, early Monday.
And it happened on a stretch of Grand where others have also lost their lives.
Police say around mid-night Monday morning some one hit and killed Angela Coleman and fled the scene.
Surveillance video shows what police believe is their suspect in a Chrysler 300.
Last month, two other people were also struck and killed just a few feet away near the same intersection of North Grand and Montgomery.
City officials say this makes six fatal incidents involving pedestrians and cars in this section of Grand in the past three years.
There are no stop lights or cross walks at the intersection.
People who work in, and travel through the area say something has to be done to make crossing the street safer.
"I equate it to the parting of the Red Sea," says local barber shop owner Vince Clark. "If you're trying to get across this street at night it's going to take a miracle."
The St. Louis City Streets Department says beginning Tuesday morning it will start assessing the traffic and pedestrian patterns near this intersection, and review the police reports of incidents in this area. But it could be months before any major changes are put in to place.
