St. Louis, Mo. (KSDK) -- A former eastern Missouri federal prosecutor, convicted of molesting five teenage boys has been ordered to pay two of the victims $30 million.
This, after they sued Eric Tolen claiming he molested them from October 2006 through April 2007.
49-year-old Eric Tolen is a former federal prosecutor now serving a 65 year prison sentence for molesting five teenage boys.
In 2008, he was convicted of 36 counts of statutory sodomy and one count of witness tampering.
The crimes were said to have happened at Tolen's Town and Country home, once valued at more than a million dollars.
The mother of one of the alleged victims told Newschannel Five, at the time, that his victims were forced to perform sexual favors as IOU's.
The civil suit was filed last year by two of the victims and Tolen has now been ordered to pay those victims $30 million dollars.
Tolen worked for the US Attorney's office from 1987 to 1999 when he was fired. He later had a law practice in Overland.
The judgment was actually handed down on January 28th, but the attorneys waited until today to announce it because they were pursuing Tolen's assets.
