St. Louis County (KSDK) -- Her porn past has caught up with her again.  A St. Louis County high school teacher is on administrative leave after a student discovered her previous life in adult films.

Since 2007, Tera Myers has taught school at Parkway North.
The school says this past Friday a student approached her about starring in adult films under a different name in the 1990's.

The school says Myers owned-up to administrators about her past and asked that she be put on administrative leave for the remainder of the school year.

In a statement the school says, "Out of respect for her privacy and that of her family, the district has agreed to accept the teacher's request..."

Parkway North isn't the first school to be surprised by Myers past.  In 2006 she lost her previous teaching job in Paducah, Kentucky when students found out about her films.

Students came to her defense then, and also now at Parkway North.

"I can tell she cares about teaching her students and she really cares about us," says Grisel Escobar, a Parkway North Senior who says she played volleyball with Myers as the coach for the school.  "So, I don't think something she did should impact what she does now," says Escobar.

"We really feel sorry for her son because he goes to our school and he's in our grade," says Parkway North Junior Darryl Rockfield.  "It's a bunch of mixed feelings but," he says.  "It's a really sad story."

In 2006, with students and teachers by her side, Myers (then going by the name Tericka Dye) said, "I'm a girl from the wrong side of the tracks who's made a lot of bad decisions in life. This being the most major. I wish that I could undo it more than anything in the world."

Parkway North has not fired Myers, but she will not return to the school, officials say.   The district says Myers informed administrators earlier in the year she would not return for the fall of 2011.
