House fire in Arnold

Arnold, MO (KSDK) - Firefighters were quick to extinguish a blaze in a vacant home in Arnold on Thursday, the Rock Community Fire Protection District said.

According to Ron Harder, a fire department spokesman, the incident occurred in the 1800 block of Engle Drive.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met by heavy smoke conditions, but were able to contain the fire in about 20 minutes, Harder said. The home sustained extensive damage.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
