"Coverlet Abstraction" by Lauren Adams.
St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Glass screen designs featuring eagles, clouds and inventive quilt patterns were unveiled Wednesday as part of new art installations at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
Jeff Lea, an airport spokesman, said four of the glass murals will be installed in Concourses A and C this month while the other five will be put in place by the end of summer.

The nine glass art designs are part of a $50 million renovation to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport's historic Terminal 1 and connecting concourses. Each of the nine local artists created their mural with side-by-side glass panels measuring more than five feet high and three feet wide, with an overall glass canvas of nearly 50-square-feet.
The airport's new art advisory committee selected the nine artists based past work on how their style would best translate to glass, Lea said. The winning artists are:
-Lauren Adams (St. Louis, MO)
-Sarah Giannobile (St. Louis, MO)
-Joan Hall (St. Louis, MO)
-Jana Harper (Clayton, MO)
-Tom Huck (University City, MO)
-William LaChance (Maplewood, MO)
-Eva Lundsager (University City, MO)
-Edna Patterson-Petty (East St. Louis, IL)
-Mel Watkin (Cobden, IL)
Artist biographies and explanations about each mural can be found at the airport's website.
